At EPW, my goal is to help you achieve your health and wellness goals. Don’t let pain and injuries hold you back from living the active life you deserve!
Discover How EPW Can Help You:
Sessions are always 1:1! And you will always see the same Physical Therapist for your sessions.
Each session is at least 45-60 minutes long.
Sessions are collaborative between the therapist and the patient - this is a team approach! I encourage all patients to be active participants in determining our plan of action.
Discussing pelvic floor concerns can be scary. EPW is an environment where you can be open and talk about what you’re experiencing without any judgment, only compassion, empathy, and understanding.
I value honesty and transparency with patients. I want patients to be honest and open with me, so I do the same in return. I will always be honest regarding your current care concerns.
EPW is women-centered - I want to provide a safe space for women to get the specialized care they deserve.
All treatment plans are tailored to the patient depending on your current symptoms and activity level.

Assessment
WHAT IS PELVIC FLOOR THERAPY?
The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that support the pelvic organs, help stabilize the spine and hips, and control bladder and bowel function. Pelvic floor dysfunction occurs when these muscles are no longer working together properly and/or cannot relax. This dysfunction can lead to bladder urgency, incontinence, constipation, painful intercourse, and so much more.
OUR PROCESS
Customized Treatment Plan
Self-Directed Therapy and Maintenance
The first step is an hour-long comprehensive evaluation. This step is key in determining your unique needs in order to design a plan of care tailored to you and your concerns. This step will put you on the right path towards rehabilitation success.
Based on the information gathered during the initial evaluation, a customized plan of care will be created for you and your specific needs. Using a holistic approach, this plan will outline exercises, manual therapies, education, and modalities to address your concerns. The different phases of the plan of care will address the following: decreasing pain/symptoms, improving mobility and range of motion, strengthening specific weakened muscle groups as well as whole body strength and conditioning as needed, and finally, return to sport and/or activity.
Once you have finished your plan of care and your symptoms have resolved, you will have a complete home exercise program to continue on your own. Your physical therapist will review it with you and address any concerns you may have.
